Capitol Hill Briefing: Why Americans Choose Nonprofit Health Plans
Featuring UPMC, Dean and Presbyterian Health Plans
Washington –ACHP’s Capitol Hill briefing will illustrate the nonprofit difference in health care, including how these health plans are going outside the doctor’s office to address social determinants of health, reducing drug costs for patients by improving access to biosimilars and combatting the opioid epidemic.
What makes nonprofit, community health plans different is what makes them leaders in the industry. ACHP plans are driving better health outcomes and delivering better value for every health care dollar. They focus on patients – not profits, reinvest in care delivery and the community, and do not answer to Wall Street stakeholders.
Nonprofit health plans lead the way in coverage and care, consistently topping quality and consumer satisfaction ratings.
