CLIPS: Geisinger researchers find AI can predict arrhythmia, death risk

Geisinger researchers discovered that AI technology can accurately electrocardiogram (ECG) test results to identify patients at risk of developing a potentially dangerous type of arrhythmia. They will present their results at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions that will be held November 16-18 in Philadelphia. They used the results of more than 2 million ECG tests done within Geisinger’s systems to train AI technology to detect abnormalities.
