ACHP Comments on HHS AI in Clinical Care RFI

The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) submitted comments to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in response to its Request for Information on Accelerating the Adoption and Use of Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Care. ACHP encourages HHS to advance responsible AI adoption by prioritizing a coordinated federal regulatory approach, establishing a common AI language for health care and strengthening patient data privacy protections. The letter also calls on HHS to modernize reimbursement pathways, streamline prior authorization through AI-enabled tools, improve data standards and promote patient-centered AI integration that enhances care without eroding trust.
