Virtual Care

Expanding Access to Safe, Essential Care

ACHP members meet patients where they are – on their phones and devices, by email or video, in their homes, neighborhoods and community centers – expanding access to coverage and care across America. Virtual care is not only convenient for patients and providers; it reduces appointment cancelations, frees up hospital beds and helps bridge the divides in health care. Lessons learned during the pandemic make it clear that our health policy should expand telehealth flexibilities in order to encourage wider use of virtual platforms where medically appropriate.
