Prior to joining ACHP, Mat directed U.S. communications and public relations for a global pharmaceutical trade association, and before that he led the communications function at a regional nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider.

Mat has lived in Washington, DC, since 1998 but enjoys his passion for traveling outside the confines of the Washington beltway as often as possible. Favorite experiences – so far – include bungee-jumping in New Zealand, rafting through the Grand Canyon and lounging in a comfy chair on any warm, sandy beach he can find.
