Mikel Severson

Senior Manager, Clinical Innovation and Research

Experience: In her role as Senior Manager, Clinical Innovation and Research, Mikel Severson oversees grant-funded projects and shapes the trajectory of future ACHP research endeavors. Prior to joining the ACHP, Mikel played a pivotal part in founding and establishing The Center for Professionalism and Value in Health Care (CPV). The CPV is a health care policy think tank and academic center dedicated to aligning the value of health care professionals with the core values of their professions and researching the interplay between professionalism and value, promoting their alignment and suggesting strategies to alleviate clinical practice burdens.

Hometown: Paint Rock, Texas, home of the Painted Rocks Native American Pictographs site, said to be the largest Native American petroglyph site in the United States and served as an annual meeting ground for Apache, Comanche, Jumano and Tonkawa tribes.
