ACHP co-signed a letter with the Association for Behavioral Health and Wellness (ABHW) requesting good faith compliance for health organizations working to implement the final mental health parity rule provisions. ACHP and ABHW request at least a one-year good faith compliance period for all updated Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act provisions that are effective January 1, 2025. The organizations also ask that the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor and the Department of Treasury work to educate the public and Congress about how investigations are an iterative process.
