Washington, D.C. (May 12, 2025) – ACHP President and CEO Ceci Connolly released the following statement on the “most-favored-nation” prescription drug pricing Executive Order:
“I’m thrilled to see the President so deeply committed to reducing prescription drug prices—an issue that has long been a top ACHP priority. For far too long, pharmaceutical manufacturers have put profits ahead of patients, and it’s time for that to change. ACHP strongly supports efforts to bring real transparency to the pharmacy benefit space and rein in anti-competitive patent practices. Congress can give the Administration and the American people quick wins by passing PBM transparency and patent reform, delivering a meaningful down payment on lowering drug costs. Today’s Executive Order holds Big Pharma accountable to provide affordable drugs to Americans. We look forward to working with the Administration and Congress to deliver lasting savings for patients across the country.”
