Nonprofit, regional health plans continue to outperform the Medicare Advantage industry in quality and patient experience, according to newly released 2026 Star Ratings from CMS. ACHP member companies now represent nearly 20 percent of all MA enrollment in 4-Star and above contracts–up from 16 percent last year–despite insuring just nine percent of total MA enrollees nationwide. ACHP members outscored competitors on 75 percent of quality measures, with 63 percent of their rated contracts earning 4 Stars or higher and more than 90 percent of their MA consumers enrolled in plans rated 4-Stars or above.
