Washington, D.C. (September 15, 2022) – The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) has named Mathew Gulick to lead its communications department. In his role as Communications Director, Gulick will oversee internal and external communications initiatives as a member of ACHP’s Senior Leadership Team and will play a key role in promoting ACHP’s advocacy agenda by developing comprehensive strategies to promote the unique payer-provider partnership model in health.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mat to the ACHP team,” said ACHP President and CEO Ceci Connolly. “Mat’s deep knowledge across the health industry and unique skill set will be a valuable asset for advancing the agenda of ACHP and its members as leading voices on innovative, patient-centered coverage and care.”
Prior to joining ACHP, Gulick oversaw the U.S.-focused communications and public relations functions of the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association, and before that led the communications function at a regional nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider. Earlier in his career, he directed the communications and advocacy work at a national association comprised of community-based organizations focused on delivering medically appropriate meals and nutrition to vulnerable populations.
