Washington, D.C. (July 1, 2025) – The Alliance of Community Health Plans is deeply disappointed by the Senate’s passage of the budget reconciliation bill. It imposes drastic Medicaid cuts and Marketplace policy changes that will strain states’ abilities to provide access to affordable care to our nation’s most vulnerable families, ultimately leaving millions of Americans without health coverage. This short-sighted approach exacerbates the impending coverage loss resulting from expiring enhanced tax credits, undermines the stability of the health care system and jeopardizes the health of communities across the country. We implore members to reconsider it when it returns to the House.
