Washington, D.C. (March 11, 2024) – The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) released the following statement in response to the Change Healthcare cyberattack:
ACHP shares the industry’s concern regarding the length and scale of the Change Healthcare cyberattack, first reported on February 21. We are working with our member companies as they address workarounds that will enable physicians and hospitals to continue providing their essential services as Change Healthcare resolves the situation. Ultimately, this crisis highlights the need for strong partnerships between payers and providers to ensure the U.S. health care system continues operating in support of patients nationwide. ACHP hopes this event drives transformation toward a more resilient and agile health care system able to function in the face of cybersecurity threats.
