“We are profoundly troubled by the passage of this budget reconciliation bill. This is an indisputable victory for President Trump and a painful defeat for hard-working Americans who now face the loss of affordable health care. Make no mistake—millions of the most vulnerable Americans will be uninsured, and consumers will pay more for health care. This bill represents the largest cuts to federal health care spending in history at the expense of the health of our nation. In the face of such grave consequences, ACHP and its nonprofit members will work closely with policymakers to implement the legislation in a thoughtful manner that minimizes the disruption, confusion and hardship to come for our neighbors and communities.”
