As our nation slowly turns the page on COVID-19, an anxious workforce and their employers are navigating how best to return to normal and secure business operations.
The nonprofit members of the Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP), in tandem with their provider partners, are deploying numerous resources to help ensure businesses are well equipped to re-open while safeguarding the health of employees and the public. For example:
- Geisinger Health Plan‘s online hub offers best practices – including for social distancing and screening guidance for employers and their staff. Plan wellness specialists are also offering virtual classes, stress reduction techniques and other engaging programs.
- HealthPartners’ “Back to Business” COVID-19 employer preparedness solution offers personalized support for re-opening businesses, including medical expertise on safely resuming operations, recommendations for absence policies and employee communications. The plan is also offering employee screenings, testing and follow-up care support.
- Security Health Plan, in partnership with the Marshfield Clinic Health System, is offering custom on-site services for Wisconsin businesses. Security’s nurses and other health professionals are vising worksites to discuss current processes and policies, conduct trainings and help craft safe return-to-work plans.
- Kaiser Permanente is recommending workplace safety modifications in its “Planning for the Next Normal at Work” playbook.
The impact of COVID-19 continues to be felt in almost all aspects of life. ACHP members are doing their part to secure the health and wellbeing of their communities while also ensuring a seamless and safe transition back to the workplace.
