The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) and the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) urge the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to extend the 2021 Open Enrollment period or create a special enrollment period to allow consumers to enroll in coverage in early 2021 to mitigate impacts to enrollment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These options will ensure adequate additional time for consumers to select and enroll in the right plan for them and their circumstance.
