A recent analysis of CMS data indicates that while non-white beneficiaries are increasingly choosing Medicare Advantage (MA), MA plans significantly under report for non-white racial/ethnic groups on HEDIS and CAHPS measures. Better standards and mechanisms including building consumer trust as well as accessing data from provider partners, government agencies and the private sector would support health plans in more reliably collect, analyze and report key information. This data is essential to addressing health disparities across all populations.
