In 2023, the Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) received funding from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) to address black maternal mental health disparities. ACHP developed a maternal health research agenda that prioritizes and is informed by people with lived experience of toxic stress and racism.
