The Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) and its member companies are committed to improving health equity by removing obstacles in our nation’s health care system. ACHP has proposed policies that will help the American health care system address underlying social factors, reduce disparities in care and address inequity at all levels of the American health care system. And ACHP member companies have launched their own community-based programs, working with local partners to promote health equity in their communities.
In 2021, ACHP established the Bernard J. Tyson Health Equity Award to celebrate individuals and organizations demonstrating exceptional commitment to advancing health equity in their communities. Read more about the award here.
