As the COVID-19 public health crisis continues to pressure the nation’s health care infrastructure, individuals and families are increasingly turning to telehealth for safe, convenient care. But there is still debate about how to build a sustainable payment system that adequately promotes virtual care without unnecessarily increasing costs.
