White House Vaccine Coordinator Lauds ACHP Efforts on COVID-19 Vaccines

In an op-ed for Modern Healthcare, White House Vaccination Coordinator Dr. Bechara Choucair emphasized the outsized role that primary care providers (PCPs) will play in convincing Americans who have not yet received their COVID-19 to get the shot. Choucair emphasizes the importance of personal relationships between PCPs and their patients, noting that PCPs are the most trusted source of vaccine information. Dr. Choucair also lauded the efforts of ACHP members, which are encouraging PCPs to have conversations about vaccination and are leveraging community partnerships to boost local vaccine efforts.
